Managing blood pressure isn’t always easy. Often, there are no clear signs that it’s rising until it has already begun to affect your health. That’s why staying ahead matters. The NALC Health Benefit Plan has introduced Hello Heart, a digital tool that helps members track blood pressure from home. It comes at no cost to you as part of your plan benefits. With Hello Heart, you don’t have to manage high blood pressure on your own. You get a free blood pressure monitor, an easy-to-use app, and coaching designed to guide you step by step.

What is Hello Heart?

Hello Heart is a program that combines a blood pressure monitor with a smartphone app. Once you sign up, a monitor is shipped to your home. The device connects to the app, so each time you check your blood pressure, the reading is stored automatically.

The app helps you track more than just blood pressure. You can log cholesterol, medications, and lifestyle changes. It gives reminders and tips that make it easier to stay consistent.

All information stays private and secure. You decide if you want to share results with your doctor or family.

This program is included in both the High Option Plan and the Consumer Driven Health Plan.

Who Can Use Hello Heart?

The program is available to NALC Health Benefit Plan members and adult dependents, age 18 and older. You qualify if your blood pressure readings are 130 over 80 or higher, or if you take medication for high blood pressure.

These criteria help make sure the program supports those most at risk for serious health issues like heart attack, stroke, or kidney disease. For postal members and retirees, this program offers a simple way to stay on top of a condition that affects many adults in the U.S.

How It Works

Starting Hello Heart is straightforward.

  • Sign up by visiting join.helloheart.com and entering NALC Health Benefit Plan.

  • Once your enrollment is verified, you’ll receive your free blood pressure monitor by mail.
  • Use the monitor at home. The readings automatically appear in the app.
  • Review your trends and follow personalized tips to make small, positive changes.

If you need help, Hello Heart has technical support. You can also reach out to NALC HBP for questions about your benefits.
