Risk Management Program Overview
Within the scope of the NALC Health Benefit Plan’s (the Plan) Quality Improvement Program lies the Risk Management Program. Using a systematic approach, the program focuses on member safety, claims management, financial management and the wellbeing of our employees to identify risks or potential adverse incidents and determine if they may be avoided, reduced or prevented.
The Plan provides Risk Management training for all health plan staff. The Plan’s delegated vendors also acknowledge the Risk Management Program and are required to complete Risk Management training as part of the role they play in ensuring the safety of the Plan’s members.
